Welcome to the Home Storage Solutions 101 App Store, which provides reviews and recommendations for the best apps for both Apple products and Android, for organizing your home and life, along with helping you with home management tasks.

This page is really a work in progress, and most likely will never be completely "done." There are several reasons for this, the main one being that great organizing apps come out at all the time, and there is no way I can keep track of all of them (at least not without help from you, anyway).
Since new apps come out so quickly, and technolgy constantly changes, the recommendations on this page will most likely be ever shifting and changing.
To make the list as comprehensive as possible, in addition to me personally testing and trying out various apps in my everyday life and reporting my thoughts about them, I'm relying on each of you to also alert me to the top apps out there.
I also have readers like you to thank for several of the recommendations below. When I've published a page on the site discussing an app, I've linked to it below so you can read what real life people think about it before downloading it to your own phone or tablet.
I'm always looking for more reviews and recommendations, so if you like an app (or tried one out and were disappointed) I would love for you to share your review with me, so I can add it to the App Store page. You can click here to skip down and share your great organizing app recommendations below.
There are several categories of apps available, so you can skip down to one of the main categories within the App Store right here:
I've only got two recommendation in this category so far, although I know there are others people may like. If you've got one you use that you'd like to recommend please skip down to share your recommendations here.
Many people have written in to share with me how much they like this app, which readers have told me they use as part of their family calendar system, for organizing recipes, creating their grocery and other shopping lists, and managing their to do list. That means it is one of the most versatile apps on this list.
In addition, multiple family members can access the information from the Cozi app, meaning you don't have to do everything yourself, but can enlist family members to help share the load around the house using the app!
Did I mention its free? You can't beat that!
As I mentioned, several readers have shared how they use Cozi, and why they think it is a great organizing app that should be in the Home Storage Solutions 101 App Store.
Here are some links to those pages within the site:
Errands is an app for iPhone and iPad which is a task manager, basically. It is a way to manage your to do list, with checklists, schedules, alarms, repeating tasks, calendar view, search, etc. The version listed below is free, but you can purchase a premium version (for $2.99) to sync with the Cloud.
One Facebook fan said she used this app, which is how I discovered it in the first place. In addition, I've received a review of it from Jessica, sharing how she uses the app to keep her on track.
I've received a couple of recommendations for apps which can be used for organizing recipes and creating your grocery shopping list from readers (including Cozi, which I mentioned above).
Additional apps already recommended include the following (be sure to skip down to share your recommendations if you're favorite app is not already listed here in the Home Storage Solutions 101 App Store):
ZipList is a free app which is available for both Apple and Android devices, which is designed to help you with meal planning and grocery shopping. It also has a way to organize your recipes for reference while doing these tasks.
Here is a review of ZipList from a reader, Mary Jane, sharing how she uses this app to keep track of her shopping lists and recipes.
MealBoard is a recipe-storage iPhone app that lets you plan your meals for the week and automatically generate your grocery list. It is not currently available for Andorid. It currently costs $1.99.
Here's a detailed review of MealBoard from Jessi, who also compared it to several other recipe, grocery shopping list and meal planning apps, sharing what she liked about each one and why she settled on MealBoard as the best grocery list app and best recipe app.
Sous Chef is an app which is only available for Apple products, not Android, and costs $19.99 currently. The app is described as follows: "Most cooking software stops at letting you organize your recipes. SousChef helps you cook, start to finish. Find a recipe, cook it, modify it and share it with friends & family—all in one application."
A reader, Angela, shared her blog post about the 52 Week Organized Home Challenge in the Creative Storage Solutions Hall of Fame, sharing how she uses Sous Chef to organize her recipes.
I've only got one app in this category of Home Storage Solutions 101's App Store right now, but I'd love to discover even more cool apps for home management tasks, such as cleaning, decluttering, etc. Remember you can skip down here to share your own app recommendations.
The Home Routines app is based off the ideas in the Flylady system, of creating schedules and routines for your home (but is not affiliated with FlyLady). The app is currently only available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and costs $3.99.
I first heard of this app when one of my other websites, Household Management 101 was listed as one of the "Housework Nijas" sites from the Home Routines official website.
I actually haven't gotten in-depth reviews of all these apps yet, but I asked the site's Facebook fans for recommendations for this App Store, and they made some suggestions for me. Here are some of the apps they currently use, but I'd love for people to write in sharing what they like, or don't about various financial and budgeting apps so I could feel more confident in my recommendations.
The Easy Envelope Budget Aid app (also known as EEBA) is a free app, available for both Apple and Android products, which is designed to use the envelope system for budgeting.
I received a review of this app from a reader, explaining why she thought EEBA is a great budgeting app.
Above are the recommendations I've made so far for the best apps for the Home Storage Solutions 101 App Store, but new apps come out all the time, or perhaps I haven't found a really great one you already use. That's where your recommendations, experience and knowledge can help me (and everyone else) out.
I'm limiting this page to apps that you can use for organizing, cleaning, decluttering, and home management, and not for games and other fun stuff which doesn't help us deal with our homes and lives. However, the categories I'm discussing are still pretty broad, so if you use an app for something useful, and want to share, I welcome your thoughts and opinions.
Below is a form where you can share your reviews, good or bad, of any apps you've tried, sharing what you like, or don't, about it and why. I can't wait to hear what you have to say!
Do you use an app to help you organize your home, life, or to deal with home management? If so, I'd love to hear which one you use and why you love it.
Please tell me what app you use, as well as examples of how you use it in real life to help others decide if they might like to give it a try too.
To make sure all reviews are as helpful as possible, please tell me what type of smart phone, tablet or laptop operating system the app works on (such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac, etc.) so that people can tell if they can use it or not quickly.
Here are some of the great organizing apps reviews and recommendations already submitted by readers.
Check them out, and see if anything gets you excited about a new way to organize your home and life using technology.
